Joining us for a tour?

On the morning of the tour we will come into the port and pick you up directly from beside your ship. Please note that this pick up service is for people on a morning guided tour only- rental customers must make their own way to us via the free Cruise Ship Shuttle Bus. If this is you, please refer to instructions further down this page. 

Cruise Ship Pick up details:

When: 9:15am (day of tour)

Where: Ship Side (Independent Operators Pick up Area)

Who: One of our guides with a blue Switched on Bikes Sign next to a van/car.

This is a one-way service. Passengers will need to take the free shuttle bus to return to the ship and we’ll help you easily navigate to this point.

Make sure you walk past all of the big buses and look for us in a parking lot with vans. 

Making your own way to Switched on Bikes from a cruise ship: 

The easiest way to find us is to take the free Cruise Ship Shuttle into the city. We’re about a 20-25min walk from there. 

Exit your shuttle and walk down Whitmore Street until you reach the water’s edge and turn right. Stroll along Wellington’s picturesque waterfront, always keeping the water to your left. Looking across the harbour you should see the large building of Te Papa, our national museum. To the left of that is Chaffers Marina where you’ll see yachts docked- we are just in front of these yachts! Keep on your route around the waterfront heading to this marina and you’ll soon walk over a small footbridge which leads you to our shop with its bright blue and yellow shop front. This is where your cycling adventure begins!
